2AM is a South Korean four-member ballad boy band. 2AM is one of the two subgroups branched out from the eleven-member (before Jaebeom’s departure) boy band One Day, the other being 2PM.
They officially debuted on July 11, 2008 on KBS’s Music Bank. They won their first Mutizen at Inkigayo on February 7, 2010 with “Can’t Let You Go Even If I Die”.
Along with the members of 2PM, 2AM appeared on the documentary Hot Blood that was aired on Mnet, documented their rigorous training program of their pre-debut days. Changmin was the only member of One Day to not appear in the documentary because he was serving in the military at that time. Initially, Jinwoon was eliminated on Hot Blood, but he ended up in 2AM due to Daehun’s withdrawal from JYPE. Jo Kwon trained for 2567 days, 10 days past 7 years after joining JYPE.
2AM’s first single, “This Song”, was released on July 21, 2008.
2AM made a comeback with another single album, “Time For Confession”, on March 19, 2009 with “친구의 고백 (Confession of a Friend)” being the title track.
2AM made a comeback with a second album, “죽어도 못 보내”, on January 21, 2010. In the week before the release, JYP Entertainment revealed a total of four teasers on their Youtube account. Along with a group teaser, the individual shots were based on the seasons. On February 7, 2010, 2AM won their first Mutizen award on Inkigayo since their debut.
The repackaged mini album featured four additional songs, three from their first and second singles and one entirely new song titled “잘못했어 (I Was Wrong)”. The album was released on March 18, 2010 and “I Was Wrong” won the Mnet M! Countdown on April 1, 2010.
From June 30, 2010 to July 20, 2010, 2AM opened for Wonder Girls on the second leg of Wonder Girls World Tour.
On October 26, 2010, 2AM released their first full-length album entitled Saint o’Clock, with “전활 받지 않는 너에게 (You Wouldn’t Answer My Calls)” and “미친 듯이 (Like Crazy)” as the promoted tracks.
In April 2010, they participated in the original soundtrack of drama series Personal Taste with a ballad titled “바보처럼 (Like A Fool)”
2AM was chosen to represent Asia on Listen Up! The Official 2010 Fifa World Cup Album with the song titled “No. 1”. The song was digitally released on May 18, 2010.
Lee ChangMin (이창민) He wass born on May 1, 1986. He is the main vocalist and rapper of the korean ballad group 2AM.
Is one of the few idols to have completed his military service prior to debut.
He speaks korean and also a bit of english.
Changmin made a cameo on KBS’s drama “Dream High”.
He is also part of the project duet HOMME alongside 8Eight’s Lee Hyun. The had their first win on September 3rd with their song “I Was Able To Eat Well”. The duet annouced that they will have a comback on July.
Changmin was also a DJ. He and Girls Generation’s Sooyoung were “Starry Night Radio” DJs.
He is currently a part of “Immortal Song 2” but his company announced his withdrawal from the program.
Im SeuLong (임슬옹), was born on May 11, 1987. He is the vocalist of the south korean ballad group 2AM.
He acted in a few dramas: MBC’s “Personal Taste”, “Lunch Box”, SBS’s “Welcome To The Show” and made a cameo on KBS’s “Dream High”.
He also was part of the cast of the film “Acoustic”.
Seulong can speak chinese and english.
He and IU released a digital single called “잔소리 (Nagging)”. And he appeared in Mario’s “I’m Yours” MV.
JoKwon (조권), was born on August 28, 1989. He is the leader and lead vocalist of the korean ballad group 2AM.
He was discovered by Park JinYoung trough a SBS’s variety show. Jokwon trained for 2567 days, 10 days past 7 years after joining JYPE.
Jokwon is part of MBC’s sitcom “All My Love”.
He also was part of “We Got Marriend”, and was fictionally married with Brown Eyed Girls’s GaIn.
JoKwon was a permanent member of “Family Outing 2”.
He is knwon for his kkab dance.
Jung JinWoon (정진운), was born on May 2, 1991. He is the youngest member, vocalist and rapper of the ballad group 2AM.
He can play guitar, bass and drums.
Jinwoon made a cameo on KBS’s “Dream High”.
He also was a commentarist of the variety program “We Got Marriend”, and was part of the cast of “Idol Maknae Rebellion” alongside the youngest members of FT Island, U-Kiss, etc…
It was announced that Jinwoon will make a solo comeback this year as a rocker singer.
He also appeared on G.NA’s “Black & White” MV.
