SECRET

시크릿 is a South Korean girl group under TS Entertainment. Secret have four members: Hyosung, Zinger, Jieun and Sunhwa.

Secret was first introduced through a documentary program titled Secret Story which aired on the cable channel Mnet. The program chronicled their debut process and aired their invitation only debut show case which took place on September 29, 2009. The group released the MV for their debut digital single “I Want You Back” on October 13, 2009 and appeared on M! Countdown for their debut performance on October 15, 2009.
They released the music video for “Magic”, the lead single for their debut mini-album Secret Time, on March 31, 2010. Their debut performance for “Magic” was at M! Countdown on April 8, 2010.
Secret released their 2nd mini-album called “Madonna” on August 12, 2010. The music video for “Madonna” was released on August 11, 2010. Their first performance was on M! Countdown on August 12, 2010.

On December 9, 2010, the group attended the Golden Disk Awards, being awarded with Newcomer Award.

On January 6, 2011 Secret made their comeback with the song “Shy Boy”. Their song has a “swing dance” concept with outfits, hairstyles, and a set that draws inspiration from 1950’s American culture. The MV for “Shy Boy” was released on January 5, 2011. They made their first comeback stage through Mnet’s “M! Countdown” on January 6th.

on January 13, 2011, Secret won their first ever award on M! Countdown for their hit song “Shy Boy” in which they came out with tears of joy. On February 7th, the girls also won their first ever Music Bank award for the first week of February 2011.Secret’s “Shy Boy” was no.1 for 3 weeks on Soompi. The next 2 week after their first K-Chart win, the group claimed their second and third K-Chart on the same show for the same song respectively, and after two days they claimed their first ever “Mutizen Song” on the show The Music Trend for the song “Shy Boy”.

Hyosung

Jun HyoSung (전효성) was born in October 13, 1989 and  is part of the kpop group SECRET. She’s the leader, vocalist and main dancer.

HyoSung won first place in the program “Battle Shinhwa” and was part of the five-member group “Five Girls” under Good Entertainment. YooBin (Wonder Girls), UEE (After School), JiWon (T-ara) and G.NA was part of the group too, but the group splitted and they parted ways.

Zinger

Jung HaNa (정하나) was born in February 2, 1990 and is part of the four-member korean group SECRET. She is the rapper of the group.

Although she is the strong charismatic rapper of the group, Zinger has been known as the member of the group under the radar. However, during Secret’s appearances on MBC’s “Bouquet”, Zinger became a crowd favorite after beating Hyuna of 4minute in a dance-off to Hyuna’s own single “Change”. Throughout the following episodes, the cast and MC’s continue to use the phrase “Zinger Time”.

And like 2PM’s Taecyeon, her ears have been a hot topic between netizens.

Jieun

Song JiEun (송지은) was born on May 5, 1990 and is part of the kpop group Secret. She is the main vocalist of the group.

JiEun sang the OST for Air City, known as “Learning to Fly.” In addition, she also sang the OST for 비천무 (track: 비천무 가), as well as the OST for Lawyers of Korea (track: Perfume). She is also the original voice for Untouchable’s song “다줄께”. Ji Eun performed alongside Untouchable during their promotions for their title song “Living in the Heart”.

She was originally a JYP Entertainment trainee and was scheduled to debut as part of a 3-member group which included current Miss A member Min and SISTAR member Hyorin before the plans fell through.

Sunhwa

Han  Sun Hwa (한선화) was born on October 6, 1990. She is vocalist and the maknae (younger member) in the four-members girl group SECRET.

Prior to debut Sun Hwa performed alongside label mates “Untouchable” for their single “다줄께”. During these promotions, she had gained lots of attention for her bright angelic looks resulting in the nickname “Smiling Angel”. Sun Hwa has gained much recognition as a member of G7 from the popular KBS show “Invincible Youth” (청춘불패).
